Gabon has been gathering its youth thanks to sport and sports’ events held since 2012… The goal of the ministry of the Youth and the Sports is to create an infatuation towards the youth in order to change the Africa Cup of Nations to a popular event and of great fame so it shines forth throughout Africa and in Gabon.

There are other international competitions that are organized in Gabon :
The marathon of Gabon : the 5th edition, it has already organized 5 eidtions which the most famous is the 42 km. Its world’s champion is Kibet Luke (World’s Marathon champion in 2007).
Tropical Amissa BONGO has been organized for 13 years ( the African cycling main event, the lonely in the continent classified in 2.1 category in the registry of the the Cycling International Union, which involves 900 km on an area made to provide a gripping suspens and spectable).
Libreville Moto Show an event organized by Yoka Production Company is at the second edition. The competion offered : girls, an MX racing, stunt, Juilen Dupont en trial, and the FMX Show lead by Blackliner organization which Romain Izzo and Colten Moore are the ones on the Quad bike. The event gathered more than 11 000 spectators.
Libreville Fitness Tour : Both the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Yori Association organized the first fitness edition known as « La Libreville Fitness Tour », the theme was : « Women involved in Development through Sport ». The goal is together 5000 women who will benefit from a professional free of charge fitness’ coaching sessions in the three communes of Libreville : Akanda, Libreville and Owendo. « the project aims at having women particularly to show interest to sport activities » declared the coordinator of Libreville Fitness Tour, Jeanne Danielle Rey.
As far as Boxing is concerned, Taylor Mabika, the Gabonese Panthere, is playing in the older children’s playground.
He has enables Gabon to be considered among the African favorite boxing countries. After he became the Wolrd’s IBU champion in 2015, the world’s WBfed Champion in 2016, he recently won a farther more prestigious disctinction. He will be facing the history best of all now.
